Many people think of “church” as a building, but at Bethlehem we consider the Church to be people – the people of God! As the Scriptures say:
“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession,
that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness
into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God;
once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
1 Peter 2:9-10 ESV
that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness
into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God;
once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
1 Peter 2:9-10 ESV
As you peruse this site, listen to the sermons, or join us for worship, you will find that Bethlehem is a fellowship of imperfect people. But we are also a people who have received the mercy of God as He has called us out of darkness into His wonderful light. By His perfect life and sacrificial death Jesus has redeemed us from error and sin. By His resurrection He has opened up Life for all who call on His name.
God our Savior is the reason we gather to worship, and He is the reason we work to serve one another and the world. We welcome and invite you to join us as we declare the praises of our God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit!
In Jesus’ Name,
Pastor Mark Adams
